| OPSI developed a training curriculum on "Trauma and Recovery"
for pre-school teachers in Sierra Leone. OPSI helped train
participants to develop their own trauma concepts that were
relevant to their own context. These and trauma work were
then integrated into normal teaching activities. The training
was experiential and offered a space for teachers to reflect
on their own needs and difficulties. OPSI work in cycles of
3 weeks, twice a year. The project started in 2004 and will
end in 2006. |
